The Chicken Coop Needs Your Help!
Since its inception in 2019, The Chicken Coop Theatre Company has made an impact in bringing lesser known and under produced works to the Louisville area theatre to our community. We are proud to have produced the regional premieres of Grey Gardens, Xanadu, produced in an actual roller rink), Stephen King’s Misery, and the upcoming Ruthless. We have had sold out runs of The Haunting of Hill House, and The Great and Terrible Wizard of Oz, the former selling out before it even opened. Proving that there is an audience out there for the types of shows other companies just aren’t producing.
Our 2023 – 2024 season looks to be our most ambitious yet. Two big musicals: Bat Boy: The Musical and Chess. A thrilling Who-Done-It: The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and our first foray into the Holiday market: Who’s Holiday.
Mounting productions is a costly endeavor. The process begins with licensing the rights, which depending on the show can cost anywhere from $1000 - $5000. Then comes the venue rental. Typically, in the Louisville area this can cost anywhere from $4000 - $10,000 for approximately eight performances. Then there are materials for sets and costumes, plus designer and labor fees, actor stipends, music (if it’s a musical), and many miscellaneous costs that always seem to pop up.
As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we essentially depend on each show to help pay for the next. Ticket revenue is not nearly enough. Therefore, sponsorship is so vital. There are two types of sponsorships available.
Become a Donor: We have other contribution levels that you can find outlined below. Every donation is greatly appreciated and makes a huge difference!
Donor Levels
Chicks: $10 - $99 Name in program, one complimentary ticket to a show of your choice.
Roosters: $100 - $249 Name in program, two complimentary tickets to a show of your choice.
Hens: $250 - $499 Name in program, two complimentary tickets to a show of your choice.
Big Birds: $500+ Name in program, two complimentary tickets to a show of your choice.
Show Sponsors
For a donation of $1,000 - $3,000 (for a play) or $2,000 - $5,000 (for a musical) The Chicken Coop would offer you the following:
• Your name/business logo placement on all advertising and marketing (website, programs, posters, etc) for the show, including all social media posts which reach over 10,000 people.
• Recognition during the curtain speech at each performance of the sponsored production.
•4 free tickets to your sponsored production on a date selected by you
Season Sponsor
For a donation of $5,000 - $10,000 as a season sponsor, The Chicken Coop would offer you the following:
• Your name/business logo placement on all advertising and marketing (website, programs, posters, etc) for ALL shows, including all social media posts which reach over 10,000 people.
• Recognition during the curtain speech at each performance of all productions of the season.
• 4 free tickets to all season productions on a date selected by you.
